However, I would take a look at how much debt and time you have left in the program before making a switch.  If you have more than 1 - 2 years or more left in your current program it should be fine to make the change.  Make sure you have a detailed conversation about your situation however with whatever company you choose to settle your debt.

In answer to your second question your total program cost for a debt settlement program is typically fifty-five to sixty-five percent of your current gross debt amount.  This means that by the time you complete the program you will have saved the difference.
